Across eighteen interconnected compositions, Eric Angelo Bessel charts a hidden terrain assembled from familiar roads, forgotten infrastructure, weathered shorelines, shifting light, and the quiet persistence of the natural world. Composed in the early morning and refined late at night, the album reflects Bessel’s enduring fascination with the space where dreams, memory, and observation converge. Built from Mellotrons, guitars, and richly textured analog processing, each composition evolves through careful layering and subtle transformation, allowing melodies and textures to emerge with the unhurried logic of weather. Based in Portland, Oregon, Eric Angelo Bessel is an American–German (dual nationality) composer, producer, and visual artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, landscape, and technology. Working across music, photography, and design, he approaches each release as a unified artistic statement, creating the recordings, production, artwork, and visual identity himself.
