*Special discounted pricing. 2026 stock* In our opinion, what hinders, deceives, and puts traditional musicians off track is that they know how to play, they have a whole set of notions that always push them in the direction of composing in a traditional manner. We'd like to see what happens when you're illiterate, but with a passion for music and the desire to engage with the rock legends we'd internalized, devoured over all those years." (from "Inascoltable, the book," edited by Oderso Rubini and Roberto Serra, Shake, 2008). Skiantos enter the recording studio with their ideas unclear. Sure, there are the lyrics written by Freak, as well as a few songs already existing from the "Demenza Praecox" days (like "Makaroni"), but for the rest, they improvise to the cry of "first time lucky."

It's a confusing and disorderly night. Chaos reigns supreme, and amidst the chaos, twelve crude, unpolished, and vulgar songs come to life—to paraphrase one of the songs that will be included on the album—among all kinds of blunders, unmitigated out-of-tunes, and life-or-death vocal performances. Freak wants everything to stay that way, for the mistakes to remain just that. "I imposed myself immediately," Antoni writes in the pages of "Inascoltable, the book," "I wanted the mistakes to be kept; they seemed important, fun, and meaningful. I realize now that it was quite revolutionary, because no one leaves mistakes on a record.

(...) And much less enjoy listening to them again." True up to a point, given that in the end Gitti will remove the bass track, leaving only a few fragments: it was played too badly, and there's a limit to everything. The songs written that night were included on a cassette tape explicitly titled "Inascoltable," distributed by Harpo's Bazaar and printed in 500 copies (plus about sixty for promotion), which quickly sold out. A creature was born: demented rock.
