In 1991, returning to studio, they produced "Our mary of Cancer" incorporating guest vocalists like Alex Spalck of Pankow and Elena Margarolo of Brazil. The album was released by Helter Skelter in a limited edition of 666 copies on blood-red vinyl which sold out in few months. "‘Our Mary of Cancer’ is the sound of Limbo at the time, namely an electronic dark wave built on patterns and atmospheres that are more ‘rock’ than electro. In addition to the quality of the melodies, the music is also worth it for its sulphurous atmosphere peppered with biting black humour (‘Satan believes in Simon’, God believes in Simon’) not devoid of provocation (‘Dog sperm, God sperm’). Limbo is precisely that, a kind of cruel dandyism that is a little disturbing in a half-baked package, between darkness, sweet aggressiveness (Devastate e liberate’) and ironic pop (‘Hermaphrodita’) bathed in a touch of esotericism, a bit like the voice of Gianluca Becuzzi which readily makes me think of that of a psychopath in the process of flaying you while calmly explaining why. The picture would not be complete if we failed to add a good touch of melancholy. 

The title's religious imagery and morbid undertones signal music working in the same shadows as Dead Can Dance and Current 93 - apocalyptic, ritualistic, deliberately uncomfortable. By this point Italian underground had fragmented into specialized scenes; Limbo inhabited the darkest corner, where post-punk's experimental impulse met gothic rock's theatrical darkness.
