*40 copies limited edition* We’re living through a difficult period to be publishing creative music (which is really the least of our problems!) And the 7” format seems to have taken an exceptionally hard blow, with apparently little interest from pressing plants in making the format affordable again. But at Physical we’re thoroughly convinced that the little record is a perfect platform for big ideas, and we plan to stay a believer despite financial hardship and almost zero commercial viability. This heavyweight document exists as proof of both that passion and the beautiful potential possible with the split single format.

K/S/R’s “Running Toward the Enemy” finds the New Mexico and New York based trio operating legato late at night in the echoey lobby of a post office. Freely improvised using a paired down selection of instruments (compared to their arrangements on the 2025 Already in Heaven LP and their 2026 split LP with Nihilist Spasm Band), glacial phrases smoothly transition in a collective manner to create a music of raw emotion and little explanation. yewn + leila io deliver their first ever recording as a duo after multiple
breathtaking performances in the Southwest over recent years. Based in Santa Fe New Mexico, the duo’s “dyspneic” carries an air of High Desert spatial relief that abandons narrative to instead embrace diaristic details of cultivated soundscapes and bowed chair legs. Music to soundtrack a day at the drained reservoir.
