Cristobal Tapia de Veer's music for the first season of The White Lotus (2021) was the rare television score that became a subject in itself: Hawaiian percussion, animal calls, wordless vocals that yodel and shriek, a tribal-lounge hybrid that made a comedy of manners sound like a horror film, which was the point. Tapia de Veer had done similar work on Utopia and Black Mirror, but this is where the mainstream caught up.
The WRWTFWW double LP is the vinyl edition, and the Swiss label's pressing quality is high. New.
