Lived In, by Pacific Northwest-based artist Gabriel Celestino Higgins, is a densely meditative work that initially seems concerned with drones, but which upon further investigation slowly reveals layers of submerged harmonies throughout a landscape of curiously degraded sound. Delicately strummed guitar notes supply an almost imperceptible emotional momentum to the music that begins to create an interesting tension within the listener. There's an almost palpable sense of one's self inhabiting a …
William Suran’s eponymous release is his second solo offering and the first with Love All Day. Suran (whose primary practice is as a visual artist) studied painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and now resides in Brooklyn where he makes extremely labor intensive and exquisitely rendered old-master level water color paintings of flowers, some of which have taken up to seven years to complete. Along with his painting materials, Suran keeps eight vintage tape echo machines and a guitar in his B…
Sami Salo was the third member of Panasonic trio when they started in 1994. By the end of 1994 Sami decided to leave the band. Sami has extremely minimal approach on the music. The compositions consist of hardly audible errors of various electronic devices. All of tracks on this CD are from the recordings Sami did in the early and mid 90s. The cover of the CD is from the tape VOLTTI.
Premiering to the world at large, Tony Conrad’s gobsmacking quintessential opus Ten Years Alive is now available to hear for the first time, featuring Laurie Spiegel and Rhys Chatham and arriving via Superior Viaduct just over a year since the death of the iconoclastic avant-garde violinist and composer in 2016
*200 copies limited edition* With "du silence des anges" Bruno Duplant returns with the second release in his trilogy for Moving Furniture Records, imbued with a certain mysticism and a deep melancholy, but, this time, more luminous, carrying a hope still possible.
"Was it yesterday or tomorrow?"
That release is a tape that Atom Heart did for the first edition of the Ambient City radio at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki 1994.
Non Standard Institute is a piano drone project by sound engineers Max Loderbauer (Sun Electric) and Tobias Freund (Pink Elln, Sieg Ûber Die Sonne), both prominent techno producers whose careers date back the mid-1980’s.
Compared to their earlier work in, “Plays Non Standards” is an exploration into a completely different direction. The music is based on the sounds of the grand piano played by Loderbauer and the subtle electronic “treatments” by Freund, with the help of vintage Roland DEP 5 and …
*150 copies limited edition* The organ dates back to 1790 and was made by Venanzo Fedeli, who came from a prestigious family of organ builders. This particular organ is tuned in the ancient way at 430 Hz. Tuning relies on pure thirds that aim to create dissonances within the instrument itself. Since the organ is an instrument modeled according to the principles of nature, the intonation of the pipes was performed according to an incompletely equal system that reflects the natural intonation base…

Organum Electronics ‘Quietude’ is another intense aural experience. A dense work, consisting of buzzing washes of electronic sounds, reminiscent of the very first Organum recordings. In common with other recent works, the piece uses a carefully chosen set of sound sources, overlaid and structured to form a tapestry of shifting textures. Recorded in 2021 and edited by Alan Jones at RMS Studios South London, the CD comes in a 4-panel Digisleeve with graphic artwork by Jonathan Coleclough. UK-based…
Organum Electronics ‘Darcknes’ is the sibling album of ‘Quietude’ (DS128). It is a similarly dense work, consisting of buzzing washes of electronic sounds, reminiscent of the very first Organum recordings. In common with other recent works, the piece uses a carefully chosen set of sound sources, overlaid and structured to form a tapestry of shifting textures. Recorded in 2021 and edited by Alan Jones at RMS Studios South London, the CD comes in a 4-panel Digisleeve with graphic artwork by Jonath…
"Sarah Terral is Clément Vercelletto's double in a solo musical project based almost entirely on modular synthesizers. Le Morfil, her second album after Le Ménisque original (2021), is released on K7, vinyl and digital formats, and is based on short, haiku-like pieces. The musical mosaic is particularly rich and seductive.
This album is "90% based on modular synthesizers" (mainly Mannequin modules and a Serge 4U), says the artist, who seems to like talking in percentages. So, when he talks abou…

200 copies. September 2022 I had a short tour in the UK with a couple of performances. One of them was at the beautiful venue Cube Cinema in Bristol during the Echoic Memory evening with Scanner. For this performance, I composed a new work, in which I further explore the perception of time. It follows much in the line of my previous works Embraced Imperfections and Less Is More. Not only because of the live performance, but also in atmosphere and mood. Yet, at the same time is even more dreamy, …
Alexander Tucker has announced details of a new album, Fifth Continent, a posthumous collaboration with Keith Collins (1966-2018).

Being Below is a mini-album of short songs created with digital and analogue instruments, recorded in 2020. Written with a structure that reflects shifting states, overlooking the past and future as a split pathway with the present endlessly fluctuating between. The pangs of rumination. An exercise in loop-less writing.
"Staring out, tense. Looking down isn’t so different than looking up, but it passes by faster. Contentment at the accomplishment that I'm here, and the fear that what I’ve always…
Wood Land is a story of a nameless worker caught in the mundanity of placid bureaucracy. Wood Land is a story of buried towers and subtle rebellion. Wood Land is a story of unsubtle rebellion and totalitarian overthrow. Wood Land is a story of deep space awakening and astronaut spiders. Wood Land is a story of return and reconciliation. Wood Land is a story. Scored by Joseph Minadeo and written by Curt Brown with imagery by both. Sonically, 'Wood Land' was an extension of Joseph Minadeo's first …
