Tip! This is one of the strangest and most interesting recordings in rock history, which speaks volumes coming from one of the strangest and more interesting bands in rock history. Not Available used what was referred to as "the theory of obscurity" (which called for the album to not be released until its makers literally forgot about its existence). It is said to be, questionably, the Residents' second recorded album (in 1974, only to be released in 1978 after utilizing "the theory of obscurity…
Black Sun Ensemble Vol. 2
"Lion's second volume of the Black Sun Ensemble's recordings for their classic first album contains an alternate version of that album, including the tracks from the Camera Obscura label CD (2000) version of that album -- well, sort of. When sifting through the masters while preparing the Lion reissue of the real, actual first Black Sun Ensemble album -- as issued in 1985 on Pyknotic -- it became clear that many of the original LP tracks were also on the Camera Obscura CD release, but under the …
The High Desert Sessions
*150 copies limited edition* 'After recording three studio albums (two of which — 2019’s The Whole of Each Eye FTR498 and 2022’s Map of Dawn FTR669 — we were honored to co-release with Cardinal Fuzz), this amazing Portland OR sextet decided to try something different. An experiment. They packed a vanload of gear and headed out to a rural house in Central Oregon with an 8 track recorder. Besides their standard array of axes, they also brought various “little instruments” as well as acoustic strin…
Beziehungen
Super Tip! LP version. Re-release of the second album by Annexus Quam, originally released in 1972. Transferred from the original master tapes and carefully remastered by HaGü Schmitz and Dieter Wegner. The timing was right: Five years earlier would have been too early, five years later would have been too late. But Annexus Quam from Kamp-Lintfort near Düsseldorf came along with the right music at the right moment. The seven-piece band formed in 1967 as Ambition Of Music; they were what was then…
Harmonie Solaire
*100 copies on transparent yellow vinyl* Mutant Embryo Records proudly presents for the first time the release of Archaïa's eerie 2nd album!! Following their homonymous 1977 debut LP, 'Harmonie Solaire' is the last ever recordings the band made in 2013 with the authentic line-up of Michel Munier & Pierrick Le Bras. Obscure myths & legends with enigmatic symbols from the past versus an unpredictable future, a trip to occult sessions, weird creatures, robots from a parallel universe through the 's…
Suspiro
Sister of well known artist Alan Sorrenti, Jenny (or Jane, as she was called in her early releases) was born in Naples from a welsh mother, and formed there the acid folk trio Saint Just. With this band, she released two albums before embarking in a solo career that only produced two more albums in the 70’s. Jenny Sorrenti’s style as a solo artist is far from her previous bands, being much closer to the song format. Both albums being mainly built on Jenny’s delicate voice; “Suspiro” is the best …
Osmose
LP version. Reissue of the 1970 krautrock classic. The timing was right: Five years earlier would have been too early, five years later would have been too late. But Annexus Quam from Kamp-Lintfort near Düsseldorf came along with the right music at the right moment. The seven-piece band formed in 1967 as Ambition Of Music; they were what was then called a "beat group." In 1970, working with a local trombone choir led to a dramatic change of direction. Trombone, clarinet, saxophone, scat-like voc…

No lyric insert as the original pressing, but an interview on the slipcase.  It compiles the complete works of this strange Swedish duo, including their lone self-titled LP release from 1972 (which supposedly won a Grammy in Sweden and is considered "the most cult album in Sweden ever") and a cassette-only follow up from …

Salad Days Vol. 1
Tip! *2023 stock* If there's one thing the fans have been craving for when it comes to catalogue re-issues, this is surely it. Schemen
11th album by the one-of-a-kind collective: psychedelia and free form jazz (not jazz) trigger a sophisticated excursion into weird textures with drastic turns. Dislocated dense music full of secret connections!
Cybotron
*300 copies limited edition. In process of stocking* Cybotron was one of the first, if not the first, electronic rock bands in Australia. Cybotron released their self- titled debut in 1976. The group draws heavily on synthesisers (as would be expected), electronic and acoustic percussion, plus saxophone and played minimalist, repetitive progressive-style electronica in a style that emulated the direction of the 1970's German cosmic sounds.
L'Abbattimento Dello Zeppelin
* Yellow Vinyl * A great Area 7", quality replica of their L'Abbattimento Dello Zeppelin first single. Kick-ass free-form music recorded in the glorious year of 1973 in Milan, Italy. Blow-out with blasting sax solos played by Victor Edouard Busnello, and a kicking Demetrio Stratos on these two extraordinary tracks
Brussels
A document that slipped through time's cracks, finally surfacing. Recorded live in Brussels during December 2009, this captures Gilbert Artman leading a late incarnation of Lard Free - three decades after the project's storied 1970s trilogy - at the Paris Delirium festival organized by Metaphon. The fire never dimmed. This lineup brought sitar into the mix alongside keyboards, drums, bass, saxophone and female vocals. A different beast from the Krautrock-adjacent electronics and processed guitar…

Broken Saxophones
Dominique Grimaud was a member of an historical French underground group called Camizole. This group of mainly self-taught musicians started in the seventies as a vocal ensemble progressively introducing a growing number of instruments that gave them the possibility to create an unique anarchic musical chaos. Their original sound could be juxtaposed with Faust , Lard Free or even Urban Sax . Well, you will find the original spirit of Camizole  in this work. The title “Broken Saxophones” gives yo…
Spiders In The Rain
With 2020 hindsight (and magic mics), we spy Wand in their late Plum/Laughing Matter quintet style, rolling up the west coast and rolling out the magic carpet. These nights spent communing with the crowds and jamming toward infinity (fittingly) promise that we’ll meet again, on nights like these further down the Möbius strip. But you knew this!!!
Ouba
*2022 stock* Canadian rarity from 1968, recorded under the influence of hallucinogenic substances by a bunch of underground musicians: Michel Pagliaro, Tony Roman, Denis Lepage and Andy Shorter. The album consists of just one long freak-out jam divided in two sides: raw basement sound, acid guitar, stoned vocals, keyboards and loud drums, similar to early Soft Machine, Pink Floyd at their most free-form phase, or Can. Newly-remastered sound, insert with photos and liner notes.
