Asuna

Country: Japan

Asuna is the working name of Naoyuki Arashi, a Japanese sound artist from Kanazawa who has made experimental music and installations since the late 1990s. His work moves between drone, improvisation and pieces for toy instruments, and his touring work 100 Keyboards is a site-specific performance in which more than a hundred toy keyboards produce interference tones and moiré effects in the room. As a teenager Arashi was drawn into Tokyo's experimental and improvised music scene.
