Brainticket
Brainticket was an experimental rock group from Switzerland, founded in 1968 by the Belgian multi-instrumentalist Joel Vandroogenbroeck (1938-2019). The band is best known for its early 1970s albums, where psychedelic rock, krautrock repetition, jazz and unusual instruments meet, starting with the debut Cottonwoodhill. Brainticket released Cottonwoodhill in 1971, followed by Psychonaut in 1972 and Celestial Ocean. Vandroogenbroeck, born in Brussels, revived the name for Adventure (1980) and Voyage (1982), and again later for Alchemic Universe and Past, Present & Future (2015).
