For a long time, we had been working on a very different album, guided by a simple set of methods: feedback, the layering of short sound fragments, and a process of repeated listening through which memory and response gradually accumulated. At a certain point, we felt the need to step away from that framework, if only temporarily. We decided instead to engage in a free musical exchange and explore a conversation through improvisation.
