Guilherme Rodrigues

Guilherme Rodrigues is a Portuguese cellist and improviser from Lisbon, now based in Berlin. He works between contemporary music, free improvisation and electroacoustic music, exploring the cello's possibilities in solo playing, small groups and projects with dancers. He is a regular presence on the Lisbon label Creative Sources, often next to the violist Ernesto Rodrigues. Guilherme Rodrigues took up cello and trumpet as a child, and studied classical music and theory at the Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon.
