Hampus Lindwall
Hampus Lindwall is a Swedish organist, composer and improviser, born in Stockholm in 1976 and based in Paris, where he has been titular organist of the Church of Saint-Esprit since 2005. He works across contemporary, experimental and electronic music, and uses MIDI and composition software to write organ parts too complex for two hands. Lindwall played guitar in rock, metal and jazz bands in the 1990s before studying organ at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and, from 2002, at conservatories in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés and Lyon.
