K2
K2 is the solo noise project of the Japanese musician Kimihide Kusafuka, who also works as a surgical pathologist and describes himself as an audio pathologist. Active since 1983, K2 is known for harsh cut-up noise built from metal junk and analog electronics, released largely on cassette through Kusafuka's own label Kinky Musik Institute. K2 has gone through three phases by Kusafuka's own account: noise experiments from 1983 to 1986, metal junk cut-up works and live shows from 1994 to 2002, and from 2005 mixer feedback and later modular synth "electro-core".
