Massimo Toniutti

Massimo Toniutti is an Italian experimental musician and sound artist based in Udine. He works mainly with concrete sounds and treated environmental recordings, composing pieces that deal with the perception of depth in space and with near silence. He is best known for Il Museo Selvatico, a self-released LP of 1991 built from small, rare noises recorded between 1987 and 1990. Toniutti came out of the 1980s underground industrial and noise scene, contributing to releases on Broken Flag and RRR and self-releasing cassettes.
