Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd were an English rock group formed in London in 1965 by Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright. They began in the London psychedelic underground and moved toward long, studio-built album works, and they are known above all for The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975) and The Wall (1979). Guitarist David Gilmour joined in December 1967, and Barrett left the following spring. After the debut The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), the group made A Saucerful of Secrets (1968), Meddle (1971) and Animals (1977).
