Zoh Amba
Zoh Amba is an American saxophonist, flutist and composer from Kingsport in east Tennessee, where she practised saxophone in the woods near her home. She studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the New England Conservatory and then studied with saxophonist David Murray in New York. Her playing draws on free jazz in the line of Albert Ayler, and she is known for her debut O, Sun, produced by John Zorn.
