Hardy Fox was the primary composer of The Residents. He created an incredible body of work, using all kinds of names other than The Residents, amongst them Combo De Mechanico, Sonidas De La Noche, Dead Eye Dick, Charles Bobuck or Black Tar And The Cry Babies. The Tar projects were generally created to help raise money for needy projects for poverty, mass destruction in fire, and to fight the evil of Trump uprising. Before Hardy died, he sent us several albums to be released after his passing. On…
Giancarlo Toniutti and James Wyness met several times in various European places to compose drookitarlùp, a 23' piece for 42 players with mostly folk, extraeuropean, or self-built and unusual wind, string, friction and percussion acoustic instruments. An orchestra of specialised players, The Kafkian Cladistique Claque, gathered with the authors at Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra, Slovakia.
They rehearsed time and again, then both composers conducted one performance each with their specific interpr…

In 15 years Xeaxx Xeaxx have released one CDEP on Troniks and one 7-inch on Fast Weapons and played two shows (one in the bathroom at The Smell and I can’t recall where the other one was, but involved us both trying to get into a sleeping bag with some microphones)… 15 years later we have a new 7-inch! Maybe we will do an LP in 2048? For this recording Brace…

Here the third and final chapter of “Schwingende Luftsäulen” the series dedicated by Werner Durand to the Pan-Ney, the wind instrument of his own invention. * Blue Version * Growing up in deindustrialized Providence, Rhode Island of the 1970s and 1980s provided NYC-based composer and interdisciplinary artist Gavilán Rayna Russom access to derelict subterranean spaces including the mile-long East Side Rail Tunnel. The tunnel's reverberant darkness would produce distinctive sensory effects and host Russom's formative experiences of interpersonal connectedness, liminality, transgender identity, anti-capitalist desire and state repression.Secret Passage…

Studio Mule open the roster towards sophisticated spiritual sounds on the crossroads of electrified jazz, oriental fourth-world spheres and deeply composed experimental sounds. This time, the label welcomes Japanese artist Ya-Sukazu Sato, aka Yas-Kaz, a university-trained percussionist, that gained global success as a composer for the internationally known Butoh dance troupe Sankai Juku which has toured the world since 1975. His infrequent musical amalgamation of ancient Eastern genres, airy sou…
This new album (the tenth in their discography) was born from two ambitions: to pay tribute to Soft Machine's Third on form (4 sides / 4 titles) and to philosopher Gilles Deleuze (Difference and Repetition is the title of his thesis) on the contents. The 4 long pieces of this double concept album were developed over 2 years and each has a different style and climate. Bold and kaleidoscopic, Difference and Repetition perfectly synthesizes the musical and literary obsessions of Palo Alto.

Before Om, there was Sleep and ‘Volume One’ was their debut album release, on Californian label Tupelo (probably best known for releasing Nirvana’s ‘Bleach’ in Europe). It hit the shelves in 1991 to great acclaim and the band were eventually signed by metal dons Earache, but ‘Volume One’ has been unavailable for some time now, and with the renewed interest in Hakius and Cisneros it makes perfect sense to have the album available once again.
Sleep were quite clearly indebted to Black Sabbath at t…

* Edition of 100. Housed in high quality folded card stock Silk Screened. * Spit-tested veterans of frontal-lobe extermination, Key of Shame’s Pat Murano (Decimus, NNCK) and Mark Morgan (Sightings) discharge focused algorithms of unease and decay in split-second intervals on their third LP, Threnody for Judas Iscariot.
