The Birth Of The Gods
2024 stock. It's with great joy that we welcome one of Japan's most revered Ambient act. Manabu Hiramoto has been creating deeply distinct atmospherics since 2003. On this new album he's combined ritualistic elements with lush, foreboding passages, creating an ode to his country's unique nature worship. Based on Japanese mythology sourced from Shinto and Buddhism, "The Birth of the Gods” has at its core nature worship, that the gods exist in all of nature. Composed from deep drones, organic ethe…
Ecatombe
*2024 stock. 300 copies limited edition*  "Ecatombe" is the fourth album from Italy's Black Industrial act Pavor Nocturnus. Composed and recorded between 2020 and 2021, it serves as a vessel of offerings, it collects all the emotions and thoughts that stormed during the months spent in confinement, producing a personal display of uneasiness. Screams and funeral mournings echo in these tracks, accompanied by percussive rhythms that recall the strokes that cast the cattle sacrificed to the gods. T…

The Generous Law
“The Generous Law,” a new album by organist Jack Langdon and guitarist Anthony Vine, presents a glimpse of the inner voices and acoustical splendor of the Fisk Organ at Wellesley College, enlivened by the intuition of two improvisers. At the keyboards, Langdon crafts geometries of patiently braided lines and incisions, configuring the hues and shades of organ stops with an ear to the materiality of sound. Vine seizes on this, tuning his guitar to the organ and bringing his strings into alignment…
Murals For Immersion
‘Murals For Immersion’ is Kenneth James Gibson’s 6th ambient outing under his given name, this time around collaborating with saxophonist Paul Carman who played and recorded with Frank Zappa in what Zappa called The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life. In late 2022, Gibson and Carman started getting together at Gibson’s Idyllwild studio, laying down tons of Saxophone sounds - layers of drones, melody lines, and off kilter noises. Gibson processed, sculpted, and arranged these sounds into full…
Hatred
** Housed in a 6 panel fold out cover ** Definatly one of the grimmest releases on UE so far... a swarm of bees are after you in your own house, they're everywhere and you can't run out either cos in front of the only door of your "crib" the half man half beast god rapist is waiting for you... if this creature whispers it's 56 times louder then a normal human being, if it touches you softly with it's fingernails you'll bleed to death, if it walks you'll hear a pounding stomp from miles away... i…
Napoli Violenta
The original soundtrack of the 1976 cult movie 'Napoli Violenta', composed by Maestro Franco Micalizzi, sees a deserved reissue. A classic 70s Italian crime soundtrack! There's a quality to the music that really matches the badass image on the front – a bold, forceful approach that has the upbeat numbers strutting along with plenty of pride – and which has the mellower, more brooding tracks working themes that are simple, but which pack the same force as the revolver on the cover. Franco Micaliz…

Sleepwalkers
The drone-pop consternations of Ekin Fil emerge through vaporous tone and forlorn, distant song, as if plucked from a dream. These exist on their own accord, moving with their own internal logic of an emotion heaviness that belies any the passing observation of this as mere shoegazing ambience. Her songs, her compositions find themselves adjacent the fragmented etherealization of Elisabeth Fraser's voice from a forgotten scene of a particular David Lynch film, as a Asmr trigger for Proustian rec…

Voices, An Acousmatic Trip (CD)
Starting from the end of 2022, as part of an urban regeneration project through artistic experimentation, I recorded the sounds of the industrial area of Bari but also the voices of the elderly and children. Over time the sounds (human voices but also the voices of machinery transport and non-human nature) began to mix in the memory and under the action of the imagination.
Traces, An Acousmatic Path (2CD)
These acousmatic works, united by a unitary narrative path, refer to a compositional "canon", implicitly inaugurated by Luc Ferrari in the 60s, which proposes real "sound photographs", which he defined, even ironically, "anecdotal music".  Just as some of the trends in painting, plastic arts and photography are figurative - that is, they represent the world in an iconic way (with a greater or lesser level of realism) - in the same way many of Ferrari's acousmatic works consist, at the base, of M…
The Plastic Cloud
*200 copies limited edition* "What remains so remarkable about the band's album is that... the performances retain an energy, but also a naivety, that somehow evokes both the Jefferson Airplane and the Velvet Underground — often within the same song." —Shindig! Magazine In 1968, the Plastic Cloud released one of the greatest underground psychedelic albums ever made: a swirl of gossamer vocals and Tolkien references swathed in the some of the most relentless fuzz guitar you will ever hear. It is …
Drones In The Air
*150 copies limited edition* Drones In The Air is Andrew Hargreaves’ first experiments with ‘intuitive’ just intonation. Forgoing the synths and magnetic heads of his TLO work for a minimal set up of oscillators, Lyra-8 and a handful of pedals, to keep a precise focus on the creation of microtonal spectrums. Over the course of four austere, slow moving parts, harmonic textures are built from the clashing frequencies of the oscillators revealing over tones that veer from the ominous to the cacoph…

Nightcap
