The first album by Marcus Belgrave, featuring two of the founders of the legendary Tribe label, Wendell Harrison and Phil Ranelin, as well as Harold McKinney and Roy Brooks, all legends of the Detroit jazz scene in the 70's. This is the world's first LP reissue in the original jacket of this masterpiece full of spirituality and strong blackness, led by the spacey jazz funk "Space Odyssey," which was later covered by Carl Craig, a major figure in Detroit techno!

This is the first album by Marcus Belgrave, a trumpeter who has worked with Motown Records and Ray Charles' backing band, and was born from a chance encounter with the legendary Tribe Jazz label in Detroit. In addition to Wendell Harrison and Phil Ranelin, who are the founders of Tribe, the album features Harold McKinney, who has his own leader album on Tribe, and Roy Brooks, who has played drums on famous albums by Chet Baker, Horace Silver, and others. and Roy Brooks, a drummer who has been featured on the classic albums of Chet Baker, Horace Silver, and many others!

The massive horn section of Marcus on trumpet, Phil on trombone, and Wendell on saxophone will overwhelm you with their powerful playing, and of course, the over 12 minutes of spacey jazz funk that was later covered by Carl Craig, a major figure in Detroit techno. This is a spiritual jazz masterpiece that includes such killer tunes as "Space Odyssey" (M1), a spacey jazz-funk masterpiece that was later covered by Detroit techno heavyweight Carl Craig. This reissue features the original LP jacket, which was not used in previous LP reissues, and has been newly remastered to the latest specifications!
