'Sustain 1' makes you feel as though you are being transported to another realm. Or perhaps, an alien transmission being sent from far, far away. Part 3 is a bit more serious and machine-like while the tension that builds is palpable. In stark contrast, part 4 & 6 both render out breathtaking melodic passages that have you feeling that you uncovered some of mankind's deepest secrets. These are equally beautiful, somber yet majestic and emotionally moving. Part 7 gives you a suspicion of climbing with a dangerous trajectory while the last part, concludes the album with wonderment, complete euphoria and completeness.

'Sustain' is a landmark album in the ambient dub genre. To date, no other dub album has been able to capture the sounds and emotions of a faraway place quite like this one.
