São Paulo Underground

With this album, Brazils Tropicalia has launched full throttle into the new millennium, where melody metamorphoses into a new medium of expression. The planetary dragons have breathed new life into their free smaba, thus creating a juxtaposition of texture, rhythm and psychedelia. Drums and horns collide at a new crossroads, and this newly created beast decided never to look back. To describe the music the quartet of Rob Mazurek, Mauricio Takara, Guilherme Granado, and Richard 'Hollywood' Ribeiro creates is as futile as explaining the cosmos itself. So, put the shades on and collar up, as the Sao Paulo Underground are about to take you on a test drive you'll never forget into the hazy South American summer.
