Armando Trovajoli (1917 to 2013) wrote around three hundred film scores and gave Italian comedy its soundtrack: Ettore Scola's C'eravamo tanto amati and Una giornata particolare, Dino Risi's Profumo di donna, and the musicals of Garinei and Giovannini, Rugantino and Aggiungi un posto a tavola, whose songs the whole country still knows.
