Aube

Aube was the recording name of Akifumi Nakajima (1959-2013), a Japanese noise musician from Kyoto. Trained as an industrial designer, he released his first Aube tracks in 1991 and built each record from a single source material, such as water, fluorescent lamps, heartbeats or pages of the Bible, transformed with electronic equipment. He preferred to describe his output as design rather than music. Nakajima ran the label G.R.O.S.S., which issued his own work and that of other noise artists.
