Chicago Underground Duo
Chicago Underground Duo is the partnership of cornetist and synthesist Rob Mazurek and drummer and percussionist Chad Taylor, the core of the Chicago Underground project formed in Chicago in the late 1990s. The duo plays an open, improvised form of avant-garde jazz built on horn lines, percussion and electronics. The same partnership has also led Chicago Underground as a trio, a quartet and an orchestra. Chicago Underground grew out of a workshop Mazurek started at the Green Mill in 1996.
