Conrad Schnitzler
Conrad Schnitzler has been an institution in the German electronic music scene for thirty years. He studied with Joseph Beuys in the mid 1960’s, and in the late sixties joined the then fledgling German rock band Tangerine Dream. He added a bizarre, conceptual approach to Tangerine Dream that catapulted the band to legendary status; Schitzler left after that first album, forming with his friends Moebius and Roedelius the band Kluster. Since the demise of Kluster, Schnitzler has released dozens of albums, cassettes and CDs, both on his own and on various labels around the world.

Zug
Schnitzler’s Zug is one of the most important and first electronic minimalist works that were published in the 70s. Almost simultaneously with Kraftwerk’s groundbreaking “Autobahn” Zug appeared on the legendary “the red cassette“. The release is rounded off with a remix of Con-Fan Stefan Betke aka Pole. Constellations
Long out of print. Though it begins with a few minutes of depth-plumbing space music, Constellations soon evolves into a series of tuneless synthesizer squiggles tweaked to perfection by Schnitzler with help from his effects array (reverb, delay, echo, etc.). The assortment of electronics is reminiscent of '60s academia but loaded with emotion nevertheless.
