Ian Boddy
Ian Boddy is an English electronic composer and synthesist, born in South Shields in 1959, whose music grows out of the Berlin School tradition of sequencers and analogue synthesizers. He started making music in Newcastle in the early 1980s, and in 1999 he founded DiN, the label that has carried most of his work and his many collaborations since then. Boddy first worked with a VCS 3 at the Spectro Arts Workshop in Newcastle and released cassettes on Mirage before LPs such as The Climb (1983) and Phoenix (1986).
