Michael Esposito

Michael Esposito is an American researcher of electronic voice phenomena (EVP) and an experimental sound artist. Working under the name Phantom Airwaves, he records voices captured at reputedly haunted sites and combines them with field recordings and the tones of each location, placing EVP research inside experimental music. Esposito has worked often with the Swedish artist Carl Michael von Hausswolff. The two made a phonograph cylinder record for Ash International, and Hausswolff's CD Energy unveiled and re-formed (Moloko Plus, 2023) contains a joint piece and is dedicated to him.
