300 copies 'Stunning, iridescent, nocturnal strums perfuse the durational sketches - highly immersive, beautiful gear that sounds something like Vincent Gallo and Iasos having a deep one.
Betraying their fine grasp of non-standard tunings, wandering feel for space, and aerosolised textures, these four extended, untitled pieces stem from a sort of communal feedback loop. Revolving Leon Brichard, Jesse Hackett and Jeff Wootton subsume a wealth of worldly musical coordinates into their sound, echo…
'The Earth is burning, covering all environments in ashes. Smoke comes to us from computers-from social networks accelerating the spread of burnt affects, damaging our ability to feel and respond to what the planet strives to express. We need to cool down. Thomas Köner's music can help change the pace of our perceptions: 1) In Daikan (2002) - a Japanese term meaning "the coldest" or "the coldest part of the year"-the ear stretches until touching the depth of time that persists in the ice; a soni…
This is the first long form solo artist release by Corker since 2013. Sounds collected and forgotten about to be then re found and used as seeds of new compositions. Neither acoustic composition nor electroacoustic but somewhere in between, the music was recorded in many different spaces from Japan to Berlin and France, often remotely, whilst finally put together in one room in London. Rooms and our current shifting relationship with them as well as using space as compositional material are some…
Frog Bones is the original Frogman music that Dean sent to his mate, Supreme Vagabond Craftsman, over which to write a story over in 2015. It was predominantly composed with an EMS Synthi AKS and an Oberheim Two Voice synthesizer, plus some crunky Watkins Copicat tape echo. Much of it didn't make the final album cut. This version has been slightly edited down to a reasonable length.
Noodles is a selection of short jams and demo ideas that were/are to be the basis of a new solo project. But Dean …
'Relativity/Only' is Clinton Green's clearest refinement of the dutiful and curious work he has cultivated over several years in recording his gently automated percussion experiments. Green conjures a celestial zoom view of a very private cosmos, using turntables as a source of movement and various static or suspended instruments and repurposed objects, captured in a softly endless world of binaural ambience. Unable to repeat a single step or rhythm given the mostly hands off methods Green emplo…
*2022 stock* Now-legendary producer, DJ, and art director Juan Mendez arguably reset techno at least twice. Once with his surreal and Europe-by-way-of-LA '80s apocalypse culture aesthetics for Sandwell District, and again--as Silent Servant--with his “Jealous God" imprint that captured the youth-driven mutation of crossover electronics and dark parties churning in the American underground, which followed directly in the wake of his game-changing modern classic, Negative Fascination.
Mendez has e…
*Limited to 100 copies. Comes in in a hand painted, paraffin, sea shell package with the bonus tape single “Saga of Capsizing Dolphins".* The rainforest spiritual enslavement environs conceived by Dominick Fernow and Philippe Hallais complement ‘artificial spaces’ and ‘synthetic nature’ through the decay of ‘digital rain storms’ and ‘falling comet bass drops’ - 'Flying fish ambience' is the duo's first studio album together after a series of tours, and builds the RSE sound into a deep hypnotic s…
‘Jellyfish reproduce black magic’ is the companion ep to the ‘Flying fish ambience’ album by RSE. The nature of a ‘permanent record’ whether digital or encrypted in the fossilized remains of evolutionary anthropomorphic species or ‘economic DNA’ left behind only further supersedes ‘artificial reality’ of environmental imprints. The alternative ‘occult economy’ is both reproducing and perpetuating a lethal life force. The essential premise of RSE remains ‘artificial spaces’ and ’synthetic nature’…
*2022 stock. 100 copies limited edition* E-saggila - an enigmatic cult producer in electronics constructing soaring calm from dynamic turbulence as the era of domesticated destruction and creation arrives. Conceived by iraqi-born, canadian sound artist Rita Mikhael, E-saggila has quickly established itself as an unapologetic presence in superseding divisionism in underground music. With prior crucial releases on northern electronics and bank records, the project quickly gained attention among th…
*300 copies limited edition* Burning the rural district overcomes 8 tracks of heavy rhythmics, cold sequences and blue flame atmospheres related to experiencing a closed society. This energy is tied and twisted through a widescreen vision manifested in stressful breaks/dnb cut ups, and the maddening dysmorphia of bent sequences and signature fuzzy bass guitar harkening back to nyc post-punk roots.
Recorded over many years entirely in tbilisi, ‘Burning the rural district’ is influenced by the eme…
*Limited edition* Verdun, 1916 is full of ghosts. the voices of survivors now departed and the vacuum of the dead. members of GOH are rumored to have relatives who fought in the hills, trenches and bunkers where the longest battle in WWI was campaigned.verdun,1916 expands heavily into the precise combination of martial sound collage and cold mechanical noise fog, supposedly created through archival interviews with veterans, members of GOH travelled to the old battlefields for field recordings, s…
‘Long Drove’, the title of Scott’s first edition for Room40, is a location in the Fens close to the home of British composer, multi-instrumentalist and mastering engineer Simon Scott. It is the connective pathway between two nature reserves, called Holme Fen and New Decoy, and both sites are part of a habit restoration project called The Great Fen Project and is close to where Scott grew up as a child. This area first became a location of compositional inspiration over a decade ago, when Scott c…
*2022 stock* An obscure tape release discovery by Red Light Radio founder and close friend of the label, Orpheu de Jong, led to Music From Memory’s latest release. This two track 12” highlights the work of electronic music pioneer Joel Graham, a San Francisco based artist who self released two cassettes in 1984/85.
Originally recorded and performed live on pre-MIDI analogue equipment in 1982 as an outline for a live performance, these visionary tracks provoke much of the same sensibilities found…
*In process of stocking* It takes several different record labels just to release the incredible amount of material Bryn Jones recorded in his lifetime. This disc was recorded in 1998, some tracks are "pure" Muslimgauze and some are re-mixs of tracks from Systemwide's "Sirius" cd (see also Systemwide meets Muslimgauze "at the City of the Dead" 12"). Nearly all of the tracks have hand percussion in varying tempos and intensities and at least 1/2 make use of electronic noise surges. The sound is…
A 16-channel piece inspired by astrophysics, the mystery of the pre-Big Bang era and some of the uncanny motions of the unconscious mind, where strangeness meets the ordinary.

With Annular Silhouettes, Brad E. Rose traces an undulating pathway through ideas of place, memory, and intergenerational exchange. The edition is a mediation on how perspective is shaped, and reshaped, in time. More so it explores how change is simultaneously incremental and accumulative. This is reflected in the compositional strategies he deploys. Elements arrive and pass with an almost subconscious logic. Their pace is measured, but entirely fluid, creating a sense of breathing or perhaps ev…
Franco Esse is the moniker of Francesco Semproni, who in the late 60s began working as a music and recording assistant in major recording studios in Rome, Italy. He started out at Dirmaphone (then located in Via Pola) under sound engineer Gianni Fornari, before following him to the Emmequattro studios in Viale Mazzini, which at the time were the headquarters of Edipan, the record label founded by composer and conductor Bruno Nicolai after parting ways with friend and fellow composer Ennio Morric…
"Coming from a background as a performer and clarinet player, the opportunity to record my own music opened up a whole new context to think about music. Sounds are freed from being confined to one place, one time, or even one perspective. I wanted the recording to have a right-up-in-your-ear kind of intimacy - so close, that you could hear the beating of a moth’s wing, but I also wanted the listener to experience the expansiveness of the recorded space, like the vast night sky. The microphones …
Tip! * Gloss laminated sleeve with double-sided insert.* Coming full circle, Vålnad Av Fornskog is the fourth and final part in Arv & Miljö's suite of seasonal ambient albums initiated with Svensk Sommar I Stilla Frid (Omlott, 2018) and continued with Himmelsvind (Discreet Music, 2020) and Ensam Är Nattens Rymd Över Vita Vägar (Discreet Music, 2021). Heavily inspired by the Swedish countryside autumns of the 80's, the album starts just at the tail end of the summer. Fragmentary memories of thing…
