My Last Works
Sten Hanson passed away on November 1st 2013. During the last year we discussed with him to make a record with four of his unreleased works from the last then years period. Sten had the title for this record: My Last Works.' Daniel Rozenhall & Leif Elggren, August 2014. My Last Works is a hommage to the work and life of Sten Hanson (1936-2013). Sten Hanson, the Swedish artist, who, working as a sound-poet, created pioneering work in the visual arts as well as performance art, is no more. Strong,…
Oyvind Fahlstrom on the Air - Manipulating the World
Enclosed in a 336 pages book published by Sveriges Radios Förlag (ISBN: 91-522-1817-1). It is written in Swedish and English by Teddy Hultberg. The CD's were released by Fylkingen Records only together with the book. The book itself is enclosed in a slipcover. The Swedish texts on the recordings are translated into English in the book. "Birds In Sweden" (1963) was produced by Öyvind Fahlström in collaboration with sound engineer Erik Winlöf at the Swedish Radio studios in the second half of 1962…
Ankarkättingens Slut Är Sångens Början
"Ankarkättingens slut är sångens början; poesi & ljudpoesi 1944-1993" (The Song Begins Where the Anchor Chain Ends; Poetry and Text-Sound 1944-1993) was edited and poroduced by Teddy Hultberg, and includes texts by Teddy Hultberg, Sune Nordgren and Ilmar Laaban.Ilmar Laaban´s poetry, practically a class in itself in Sweden, traverses linguistic borderlands where words can get split and torn apart, reduced to something beyond words, perhaps more universal than words, but where the various compone…
Untitled
** 2026 Stock. Edition of 350 numbered copies. ** Atsushi Reizen, uses electric-guitar-based sound sources with drone, noise and minimalist techniques. In 2007 he formed the ambient quartet Nerae, but he has now left the group to focus on his solo music. This LP features two newly recorded tracks based on the concept of 'differing speeds', and a track recorded live at Fylkingen in Stockholm.  Untitled finds Reizen operating in the starkest possible register, using electric guitar not as a melodi…
Text-Sound Compositions: A Stockholm Festival
2026 stock.  Fylkingen Records in collaboration with the Swedish Radio released a series of LP records with text-sound compositions between the years of 1968-77. All of these were documentations of the international festival Text-Sound Compositions. A Stockholm Festival, which Fylkingen presented in Stockholm several times during these years. Most of the LPs were only pressed in batches of about 400-500 records, and most of the LPs sold out during the festivals. A re-release had long been planne…
Swedish Contemporary Music
Swedish Contemporary Music on Fylkingen Records captures a snapshot of Sweden’s postwar avant‑garde: electroacoustic experiments, new chamber works and text‑sound pieces shaped at the nexus of Fylkingen, EMS and the ISCM, where technology and radical composition meet.
Electronic Music
On Electronic Music, Pär Lindgren turns the studio into a charged, architectural space: three acerbic, abstract works where voltage, noise and spectral residue are shaped into disorienting landscapes with no obvious landmarks, only shifting fields of tension.
Tnt
** 2026 Stock. Original 1986 Copies that may show some signs of long storage wear. ** Across his career, Rolf Enström has been less interested in occupying a genre than in testing how far music can stretch when it brushes against other arts. Known as a composer who “unceasingly seeks new artistic paths and new means of expression,” he has frequently braided his work with visual art and literature, using text, image, and performance as catalysts for sonic experimentation rather than decorative ad…
Ite, Missa Est (Computer Music)
On Ite, Missa Est, Tamás Ungváry turns computer music into a spiritual pressure chamber: gliding spectra, organ remnants and razor‑edged noise collide in a twelve‑minute ritual where Catholic dismissal becomes a launch command into pure, disembodied sound.
Stockholm Elektronmusikfestival 1982
Original LP from 1982. "Since 1979, the Swedish Radio Company and the Stockholm Electronic Music Studio (EMS) have arranged an annual 3-day Stockholm Electonic Musik Festival. It's purpose is to present a sample of the electronic music being composed in different parts of the world. This record contains four works from the 1980 festival - two are Swedish and two are international; two are for tape and two combine tape with live performance." Lars-Gunnar Bodin: Epilogue; rhapsodie de la seconde r…
Clouds
** 2026 Stock. Original 1977 Copies that may show some signs of long storage wear. ** Composed between 1972 and 1976, Clouds marks one of Lars-Gunnar Bodin’s most fully realized attempts to fuse electronic music, vocal writing, and visual dramaturgy into a single, inseparable organism. Often described as a pioneer of Nordic electronic and text-sound art, Bodin approaches this piece less as a “work for tape” and more as an advanced form of musical drama: three women singers, three dancers, eight-…
Electronic Music
** 2026 Stock. Original 1978 Copies that may show some signs of long storage wear. ** Electronic Music captures Sven-Erik Bäck at a crucial threshold, stepping from the world of string quartets and church motets into the charged, unforgiving arena of the tape studio. A central figure of 20th-century Swedish art music, Bäck was steeped in chamber playing and sacred repertoire, yet closely aligned with the Monday Group’s push toward a modernist idiom that embraced serial thinking and new technolog…
5 September 1982 A Tribute to John Cage
** 2026 Stock. Original 1983 Copies that may show some signs of long storage wear. ** This is Fylkingen's contribution to the celebration of John Cage's 70th birthday. The album presents works - all commissioned by Fylkingen on this special occasion - by composers from the 1960«s generation and shows their relations to an important percursor. Lars-Gunnar Bodin For Jon III, Leo Nilsson Early Ear, Folke Rabe To the Barbender, Sten Hanson The Flight of the Bumble Bee, Arne Mellns 31 Variations on C…
Taroom
My first complete electronica CD which contains electronic music I performed live over the last couple of years, edited to form a complete work that can be played from beginning to end. The title comes from John Lloyd's and Douglas Adams' dictionary The Deeper Meaning of Liff where it in brief means loud and informative (it is also an Australian town). The music is a combination of harmonic noise music and multi-layered rhythmical electronica'. Mattias was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1976…
Ström
Ström is a 45 minute piece for five loudspeakers, live-electronics and live-video, based on an openminded, artistic approach towards electricity. The piece is an attempt to transfer electric current via sound to the audience. The five speakers in the surround system struggle to take over the sonic stream like electro-magnets. Sine waves and noises rotate at breakneck speed around the listeners, try to charge them with static electricity, and, as an ultimate goal, even make them levitate. The vid…
Text-Sound Compositions
On Text-Sound Compositions, Sten Hanson distils his radical vocal practice into a suite of works where language is shredded, stretched and reassembled. Breath, syllable and tape splice replace melody, turning the voice into an instrument of pure sonic and political pressure.
Rozenhall
A re-mastering and repackaging of two previously released LP’s by Daniel Rozenhall (2001 & 2003), this CD is a collection of 5 quite different pieces. All are mixed-moving-surrounding sounds and natural and manipulated noise - some can be considered as drone though they aren’t at all. No name for Rozenhall’s style. Very intense. As the CD liner notes say, “Play loud!”. Trk 1: “A Plumage…” - Early 60’s satellite type mixed sounds going round and round the Earth, then they come at you. Grabs your …

5 composers: Electroacoustic music from Sweden 1987-91
A landmark document of Swedish electroacoustic composition from the late 1980s, 5 Composers inaugurated Fylkingen Records' ambitious series devoted to showcasing the fertile creative milieu surrounding Stockholm's legendary EMS (Elektronmusikstudion). Released in collaboration with the Swedish section of ICEM (International Confederation for Electroacoustic Music), this compilation captures a pivotal moment when Swedish electronic music was achieving international recognition while maintaining i…
