His jangly, dreamy Minneapolis outfit Velvet Davenport was the first band signed to the label, releasing two cassettes and an LP. Returning now as a solo artist, Sprout retains his effortless ability to craft psychedelic and weirdo pop ear-worms but now expands even further into the outré sounds of sonic collage and electronic experimentation.
