*In process of stocking* Similar to AAD, Norwegian duo Maranata started out with an active run in the mid-2000s (with releases on Lasse Marhaug's Pica Disc & TWR imprints for example) and then they sort of disappeared for awhile...only to emerge again just this year, arriving in style with the great "Dry Lungs" tape on New Forces and an upcoming full length CD on White Centipede Noise...and while being associated with all of the aforementioned labels should be enough to spark your interest, Maranata is also highly recommended for anyone who enjoyed "The New Boyfriends 3" album released by Satatuhatta last year, as it similarly combines a dual assault of rhythmic noise generated by both digital and analog electronics teamed up with manic saxophone abuse...unified together into a seething mass of deranged harsh jazz savagery.
