Emerging from the depths of a private mindscape, Crystal by Stan Hubbs delivers epically torched psychedelia that transports listeners to a vivid sonic dream. Recorded in isolation within a remote cabin nestled among the majestic California redwoods, this 1982 brain-frying masterpiece captures a unique blend of vintage psychedelia and innovative homegrown sounds.
Crystal stands as the missing link between the iconic In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida era and the surreal charm of harpsichord-driven hallucinogens. Now celebrating its 44th anniversary, this deluxe hydroponic edition features a faithful remaster and includes Hubbs’s original 16-page book of poetry and doodles, providing an intimate companion piece to expand consciousness alongside the music.
Stan Hubbs invites fans and new audiences alike to dive deep into this legendary psychedelic journey, rich with evocative textures and visionary artistry—a timeless trip through sound and spirit.
