The new album from Werkbund, the Hamburg project whose records on Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien go back to Skagerrak in 1987. Forsitesland appeared without any announcement in October 2026, two years after Skalpafloi, and the sea is again the subject.
The title points to Forseti, the Norse god of justice and arbitration, and to Forsitesland, an old name tied to Helgoland, the red sandstone island in the North Sea. A colour view of its cliffs rising from the water fills the front cover. The seven pieces carry on from there: Forsitesland Meerumschlungen, Sturmstimmen, Bernstein, Berghet and Der Christengott on side A, Auf Zur Letzten Fahrt and Vergessene Altäre on side B. As with Skalpafloi and its Scapa Flow, history and myth are reached through a place on the map. Who stands behind the name has still not been confirmed, and Asmus Tietchens has repeatedly denied any part in it.
LP edition of 500 numbered copies, WULP 048, published by Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien in Hamburg.
