If I'm Not A Woman Why Do I Ache Like One is performed using a Roland FP-30 digital piano and a pedal board. The title relates to my experience of being on the receiving end of misogyny as a gender fluid, transmasc person. I always feel a level of gender dysphoria whenever I am perceived as a woman, but when that perception is paired with misogyny it adds a whole other layer of anger and ache. Being told I am less than because someone perceives me as female not only makes me feel dysphoric, it also brings up strong feelings of solidarity and camaraderie with women.
