Nobody knows who H. Tical was. Impact is an Italian library LP of synthesizer cues, "synthesized sound and music" as the subtitle puts it, in which an unidentified composer works through the possibilities of a modular system with a rigour more common in Cologne than in Rome. Intervallo reissued it as its ninth release, and it has become one of the imprint's most talked-about titles precisely because of the anonymity.
Sequenced pulses, filtered noise, the occasional near-melody: a record that sounds like the studio itself thinking. Limited edition, remastered.
