Angoscia ("Anguish") dates from 1975, Alessandro Alessandroni at his most experimental, and was issued originally by Octopus, a label so small that copies barely exist. Intervallo's reissue, its second release, brought it back: dissonant string writing, prepared piano, tape treatments and Alessandroni's wife Giulia De Mutiis's voice used as an instrument, in a programme of cues designed for thrillers that never got made.

Alessandroni ran a small school of library composers around him, Rino De Filippi (Gisteri) and Giuliano Sorgini (Raskovich) among them, and Angoscia is where the teacher shows the pupils how far the form can go. Remastered, limited edition.
