Edition of 200 hand-numbered copies with silk-screened die-cut covers.
East Bionic Symphonia was a large improvising group formed by students of Takehisa Kosugi at the Bigakko art school in Tokyo, among them Chie Mukai, Kazuo Imai and Masami Tada, who all went on to long careers in the Japanese underground. Their playing is collective and unhurried, with strings, voices, electronics and objects drifting in and out of a common wash of sound.
This set collects a 1976 live recording in three parts across three sides, with the fourth side left blank. Issued in 2017 on Cyclope as an unofficial release of 200 numbered copies, two separate albums with silk-screened die-cut covers and hand-numbered labels.
