Behind the name is Alain Boiziau, organist, pianist, trumpet player, singer and producer moving between jazz, house music, French song, disco and free jazz. With Luigee Trademarq he has produced music for John B. Root's films, remixes for Alex Gopher and Étienne de Crécy and a soundtrack for Cédric Klapisch, and he has worked with Cosmo Vitelli, David Grubbs, Akosh S., ErikM, Quentin Rollet and Mendelson. On this Rectangle single, recorded at Xtralab in Paris, Proud To Be There and Mon Chéri were recorded by Jean-Louis Pégorier, who co-wrote them, while First Love Song was recorded by Charlie O. himself.
