Tip! *200 copies limited edition* If there are still living legends of contemporary noise, Rotat would certainly be among those that would have to be named. Tero Trogen, a raging lunatic from ever-expanding Suomi, started in 2015 and quickly rose to the highest ranks of the scene, being backed by some of the most prestigious and reliable labels currently active. Revolving around its usual blend of perversion, insanity and an uneasily black form of absurd humour, the project presents „Somnambulant Hysteria“ a brand-new full length album for those select maniacs.

Although Rotat has stayed loyal to the trademark style and concepts one has come to know since his earliest days, the artist has constantly grown, refining his craft and exploring the fringes of the sounds he has established. Indeed, „Somnambulant Hysteria“ has an inherently European quality characterised by that heavy grit and manic filthiness one has come to expect from the cold Northern states. Unhinged feedback interpreted through rusty gear oscillates between classic PE aspects and some of the more modern rural noise sounds, everything appears hand-crafted and real and the arrangements show that Trogen is indeed a master of the arts, knowing exactly how to let the sounds flow just to transmutate them in oceans of splendrous crackle and wallish force.

The brilliance of Rotat should not be news to any dedicated fan of noise, and „Somnambulant Hysteria“ proves this well-known fact once again without the shadow of a doubt. Any Euro harsh head is urged to grab this new monolith before it's too late.
