*17 copies limited edition* Tristesse Apotropaïque is the mesmerizing new sonic statement from the trio Apparet! (Jeanne Gorisse / Julien Goussina / Marina Levallois), released via the adventurous nanopublisher MMLI. Recorded live in Lorfou just before the winter solstice, this unique project brings together Gorisse’s double bass, Goussina’s piano, and Levallois’ imaginative synthesizer and effects setup, born from a spontaneous, joyful musical encounter that channels playful experimentation and improvisational spirit.

At the heart of Tristesse Apotropaïque is a single, expansive track spanning nearly 28 minutes, inviting listeners into an intimate post-rock chamber atmosphere colored by quiet reflection and delicate textures. The trio’s approach evokes childlike wonder—rediscovering the joy of creative play with “grown-up toys”—while remaining rooted in elegant restraint and subtle harmonies. The improvisational interplay blends acoustic depth with electronic nuance, often bending toward pastoral moods and evocative soundscapes.

Their session, mixed and mastered by Éliane Blaise at Violet Intimacy Studio, captures a fleeting moment of collective inspiration—a testament to MMLI’s dedication to unconventional and experimental music emerging from Europe’s vibrant creative underground.
