Berto Pisano

Berto Pisano (born Umberto Pisano in Cagliari, 1928-2002) was an Italian composer, arranger, conductor and jazz musician. He wrote songs for Mina and scored Italian films from the 1960s to the early 1980s, among them several gialli and horror films. His theme "A Blue Shadow" topped the Italian charts in 1974. Pisano started as a double bassist in the jazz groups Quartetto Astor and Asternovas and later took up the trumpet. "A Blue Shadow" was the theme of the RAI television series Ho incontrato un'ombra.
