Nadja

Nadja is a Canadian drone metal duo of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff. Baker started it in Toronto in 2003 as a solo project, and Buckareff joined on bass and vocals in 2005, turning it into a live band. The couple later moved to Berlin. Their music joins slow, heavy riffs with shoegaze and ambient textures, a blend Baker has called ambient metal. Nadja's first official album, Truth Becomes Death, came out on Alien8 Recordings in 2005, followed by Thaumogenesis and Radiance of Shadows in 2007.
