Seymour Wright

Seymour Wright is a British saxophonist and improviser. He plays alto saxophone, alone and in a wide range of groups, and he was for many years a regular at Eddie Prévost's weekly improvisation workshop in London, where he met several of the musicians he went on to play with. Seymour Wright's solo alto recordings include Seymour Wright of Derby (2008), Seymour Writes Back (2015) and RITES. He forms GUO with Daniel Blumberg, whose GUO4 came out on Mute in 2019, and plays in the quartet [Ahmed] with Pat Thomas, Joel Grip and Antonin Gerbal.
