2004 release ** "This album is a collection of early works from the late 60’s by the french electro-acoustic composer Bernard Parmegiani. Born in Paris (1927) and rich of a “catalogue des oeuvres” of more than 60 pieces, including classics such as “Violistries” 1965, “La Roue Ferris” 1971, “Pour en finir avec le pouvoir d’Orphée” 1971/72, “De Natura Sonorum” 1974/75, the 4 pieces presented in this edition is a perfect exemple for discovering the unusual territories and the eclectism language of …
2015 release ** Limited edition of 900 hand-numbered copies. "Real Essence is an album made with the acoustic Tricanta Veena, recorded in India, in the spiritually dense hours before dawn. The music of this great comeback by Paolo Tofani is not only for lovers of Indian music. As if Robbie Basho had lived in India, it is influenced by the East and the West. A new music, syncretic and deeply rich in inner peace, recorded with an impressive sound, like a hi-fi demonstration, without any tricks or …
Over the years, Andreas O. Hirsch has shaped a distinctive sound, exploring the possibilities of the electro-acoustic instruments he constructs. The Carbophone as well as the Electrified Palm Leaf are plucked instruments akin to the African Kalimba or Mbira. In combination with effects and loops, Hirsch creates an experimental space, influenced by early electronics, Asian and African music as well as the possibilities of editing and collage. The majority of the pieces on The Salamander Treaty we…

Christian Galarreta: In his sound-based works uses broken electrical appliances, hand-made audiovisual instruments, field streamings and -recordings, feedback systems, the induction of errors in the software-hardware, and musical instruments. 2010 release ** "The duo's music is rarefied, in the sense that it's highly personal and hardly rife with echoes of the familiar. Such is the other worldly aspect of "First Marriage" that it's barely possible to tell which instrument is responsible for what. This has the effect not merely of confounding expectations but also of establishing the territory in which both players are naturally at home. Their dialog, as is so often the case in this highly specialized form of improvisation, is as purg…
2003 release ** "South Winds presents the results of a recording session Christof Migone undertook with Le Petomane (Joseph Pujol 1857-1945). Le Petomane performed his fart fantasia at the Moulin Rouge in Paris where, to much acclaim, he would imitate musical instruments and with his 'second mouth' hum recognisable tunes. For South Winds, Le Petomane and Migone sought to explore these somatic winds as a response to Artaud's ontological formulation: "the depth of my being is the volume of my body…
2010 release ** "over 2 years in the making, to much togethers is the follow up album to ashley paul’s 2008 ‘d.o.l’ release. patiently crafted and paced to much togethers continues on ashley’s unique path of ‘song’ style. combining clattering strings, (her custom green-box string set up), psycho acoustic sustain and decay, bowed metal, expressive saxophone, subtle and ear grabbing sense of color and distant voice all slowly creating mood and thought provoking miniatures, that succeed in fitting …
2009 release ** "Ruby Ruby Ruby are more or less a vehicle for experimental German singer Margareth Kammerer. She has been involved in The Magic ID, a song-based project with Berlin improviser Christof Kurzmann, and also formed Ruby Ruby Ruby to pay homage to Billie Holiday and other jazz singers. This appears to have been a one-off project, there being no indication that the group (consisting of Derek Shirley and Steve Heather alongside Kammerer) has done anything else or is planning to work t…
2008 release ** "Although not overly prolific in his output, Andrew Moon has added another installment to Utech Records' URSK series which fits in to the ethos that the project has established: a disc of dark, ominous drone with a slight edge of noise. Considering there have been contributions from such scene titans as Skullflower and Final, RST holds their own, and is idiosyncratic enough to stand out among the throngs of guitar drone projects."
2010 release ** "A dark space blues built from electric guitars, The Sunset Limited presents the next phase of RST's exploration of the limitless kinetic possibilities of that hallowed rock and roll instrument. Colossal rumbles and riffs arc across an expanse of darkness, lighting shadows of phantom cities, burnout survivors, fires burning in endless night. Here RST pushes its own aesthetic out beyond the void, building on the slow momentum of fifteen years staring into space, stone in hand, amp…
2012 release ** “While guitarist Yair Yona was first lured into the world of acoustic fingerpicking by a Bert Jansch CD that he found in a London shop, the Takoma school is his foundation. Like Steffen Basho-Junghans, he’s embraced this fundamentally American style on its own terms, learned its language inside out, and still made music that’s true to an upbringing on the far side of the Greenwich Meridian.” Recommended if you like: John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Leo Kottke, American Primitive Guitar,…
2007 release ** Limited edition of 250 hand-numbered copies. "The Infant Cycle is a project of the Canadian artist Jim DeJong working under this name since 1992. It may seem surprising, but all these 15 years he remained in the underground of experimental music, and his name is well-known only to inveterate enthusiasts and explorers of this strange phenomenon. The project has put out 6 full-length albums on cassettes and CD-Rs, several singles and an amazing series of minions called "Clear Shape…
2005 release ** Limited edition of 100 copies. Oversized cardboard sleeve. "The Echoes Of Thiiings is a work that is made up of compositions that span a very long period of time that reaches up to 2001, but the album is as homogeneous as ever. Suspended in mid-air on a faint borderline between the Autechrian glaciers of Amber and the Central European minimalism of Kompakt (Kaito, Ferenc, Closer Musik, etc.), the compositions of Sparkle In Grey float in a diaphanous, light melodism that moves ser…
2025 stock "The latest LP from veteran fluxus composer Philip Corner. OM Entering. and Once Enterd comprises four previously unreleased recordings with the Barton Workshop, taken from performances in the Netherlands, and South Korea, between 2000-2007. 'Om Entrance which one does....because the performance is a real "passage from the material to the spiritual" unless the "real" world is just as spiritual already which i like to think it is. As perhaps an everyday awareness is already to be entra…
2011 release ** "French soprano saxophonist Michel Doneda and Swiss accordionist Jonas Kocher are joined by Slovenians Tomaz Grom (double bass) and Tao G Vrhovec Sambolec (laptop) in four tight, tense improvisations recorded at the (DA)(NE)S Festival in Maribor. Kocher's squeezebox and Doneda's squeaks work together with near telepathic precision, while Grom's growls and Sambolec's grainy drizzle add depth and drama. Filling up what would otherwise be a rather short album, Giuseppe Ielasi's remi…
