Svelto
In the past years we’ve seen many cool albums released as they were, just beautiful music artifacts with no particular purpose rather than pleasing the most trained ears in the underground scene of music listeners and cassette tapes aficionados. After a big research involving a copious amount of people including musicians, housewives and household management's scientists, Artetetra, in collaboration with the bolognese crew of Islandsexp, ended up with a catalogue of music that serves bo…

Um Argentino No Deserto
** Edition of 200** René Bertholo Alhandra (1935-2005) was mainly know as sculptor and visual artist, and his musical work, though including classical composition, largely focused on a digital modular sequencer/synthesizer of his own design. This story began when I had to learn something about electronics, in order to make objects with electric movement, which I call “small-scale models”, and which I was making between 1963 and 1973.In 1973, when tired of repairs I had decided to give up making …
Musica Intuitiva
**Available in vinyl for the first time, edition of 200** Born in Lisbon (1932), Armando Santiago studied singing, piano and cello at the National Conservatory of Lisbon. In Italy he studied conducting with Hans Münch and Franco Ferrara, and in Paris he studied with Pierre Schaeffer at the ORTF Research Service. Fellow of the Governments of Portugal and Italy, he worked in Rome with Boris Porena and followed the course of Goffredo Petrassi in the Academy of Santa Cecília, obtaining the diploma o…
Omaggio a Marino Zuccheri
I've been talking about releasing music from this trio since I knew them almost seven years ago. Now it's time for me to let you know about one of the craziest projects I had the chance to put my ears on. Marino Zuccheri was the sound engineer of the famous Milan RAI Electronic Music Studio, where he helped to shape the music of great experimentalists like Berio, Nono, Maderna, Cage, Pousseur and many others. This 12” EP is an homage to the great figure …
Fine Automatic & Die Form
2017 repress. This release is the unique and complete full album from one of the Die Form side projects, named "Fine AutomatiC & Die Form" (from the "Endless" short tapes serie). This one is released in double albums as two separate vinyl LPs in the context of the Archives of Industrial Music from France (offering inside this collection : identical covers, excepting specific typography of the artist or of the band and personalized logotypes) in order to point out its radical aesthetic unity and …
Arcaico Armonico
CD version. Like many of my generation, grew up in an age where the Internet did not exist and there were few sources of information, especially those inherent to the new music, I discovered Lino through his participation in one of the most daring musical pro- jects, the magnificents Aktuala, new band that released three great albums in the early ‘70s, full of innate grace, where Walter Maioli, Lino Vaccina and their cronies tended mystical and astral plots about warps of music and sounds extrac…
Watching The Burning Bride
Long-awaited double cd reissue of the two Asmus Tietchens/Burrows collaborations which sound still remarkably fresh today. Watching The Burning Bride was originally released on Terry Burrows' label Hamster in 1986, while the second collaboration came out on Disaster Area in 1998. As usual the booklet reproduces the original lp sleeves and a lengthy text by Terry Burrows on how the collaboration between the two artists came about is also included. The release includes two short bonus tracks.
Hesaitix
Further departing from both the cinematic abstraction of Piteous Gate (PAN 066CD/LP, 2015) and the hectic drums of Damaged Merc (2016), Berlin producer M.E.S.H.'s new full-length, Hesaitix, is marked by its hyper-ornamented rhythms and a sense of pensive, moonlit spaces. The atmosphere has shifted; the radical deconstruction of previous releases has given way to subtler interventions, building new structures in strange territories. Shifting from the meditative to states of manic unease, Hes…
Satan Im Sattel
Skulking hardware cranks from Hamburg’s Fallbeil duo, cooking up 90 minutes of K-holing, atonal digital noise recursion on tape along with two slices of grot on vinyl, especially for Nina’s V I S label down by the docks in Hamburg. After first appearing on Helena Hauff’s Return To Disorder label with Ultima Ratio in 2016, and turns for Boidae, Hafenschlamm and Mannequin in the meantime, the Fallbeil duo have made no concession to higher fidelities and remain resolutely grubby and visceral on all…
Post Self
Post Self is simultaneously inventive and classic Godflesh. The blue and icy atmosphere of Post Self can reach levels touched on in the happenings of early '90s Norway innovations. From the opening track, it's clear that the vocal performance is Justin Broadrick's best in ages, utilizing new approaches ranging from higher tortured screams to truly brutal and barbaric low roars not heard since Streetcleaner (1989). Within those extremes, mystically effected vocals coming from an industrial …
Mercury's Rainbow
Zomby’s near-mythical Eski grime concept album was created over an intense two week period around 2008-2009 and features 16 uniquely formulated interpretations of Wiley’s seminal Eskibeat productions. It's been in hybernation ever since and, almost a decade later (and after many aborted attempts), is finally available for public consumption - still sounding like an ancient future. After nearly a decade in the making, Zomby finally dispatches his astonishing take on Wiley’s series of Eskibeat rel…
Echoes of Harmony - Early Music Reworked
All pieces of the Renaissance Repertoire come from Cancionero de Colombina (around 1470) or Cancionero de Palacio (around 1510). Both sources are well known for their typical Spanish repertoire of this period. Electronic music artist Sylvain Chauveau did new versions of several tracks and added also some drones to the program. Daniel Manhart did the compilation and the additional sound design and mixing. All pieces on this CD are hardly ever performed or recorded -- a fine, sensitive, inter…
358 Oblique
Baltimore’s PJ Dorsey has traversed a lifelong journey delving into psychoactive music which can alter one’s cognitive and conscious state. He harnesses his experiences to create music as Tarotplane. Using guitar, effects and processing he produces time suspending soundscapes - immersive music for merging the mind and body. 358 Oblique is the follow up to First which was released on Aguirre Records in 2015. Find yourself adrift in the lapping waters of a slow unraveling sea of sound, a sp…
Requiem in the Sun / Re-Musick / Demise Symphonika
This is the first in a series of various compilations to come with a focus on the 80’s japanese Minimal/Synth/Wave and electronica. While Japan is very known for the Japanese Noise (almost as Germany is known for NDW (Neue Deutsche Welle) or 70’s Kraut (Progressive).Electronic Music this aspect of the 80’s Japanese Music Culture still seems to be less explored and exposed to the interested listeners. In the early 80’s you had several outstanding labels such as Vanity releasing great artist…

The Horde
Transistor formed in 2009 when Franck Vigroux was performing in NYC where Ben Miller led several projects. Vigroux was in a creative transition suggesting a stripped down electro-industrial sound with the latter as lead singer. Miller had sung in many bands before but never solely as a lead singer. The new challenge was intriguing. Shows were set up with Vigroux’s sub-bass and extreme frequencies blowing more than one PA system. They struck up an overseas collaboration releasing a self-titled EP…
Plays and Sings for Money
Kallabris is the project of Michael Anacker. Active since 1986, its work has been described as ‘electro-acoustic chamber music’ — a description which should be taken literally. Anacker’s main interest is a reflection on the electro-mechanical conditions of sound recording presented in everyday recording devices such as cheap home computers, dictaphones and answering machines. Thus, he is not interested in the limits of musical styles but in the limitations of sound (re)production. “Songs. The fi…
Dawning Light
Jacques Bon motions through the day’s early energy of Dawning Light. True to the record’s title, Bon composed the four tracks for his debut EP on Beats In Space Records in the morning sun, reflecting and refracting the colors of daybreak from his compositions. Burning spheres aside, Bon draws inspiration from his past in Paris, where he slung records at Daphonics and started the record store Smallville with Pantha Du Prince, and his time in Hamburg, where he frequently helms the legendary decks …
