Electronic Sound Issue 125 spotlights the highly anticipated collaboration between Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke, coinciding with the release of their album Tall Tales. This issue features an in-depth interview with Pritchard and Yorke, exploring the album’s creation, their thoughts on technology, identity, and artificial intelligence. Tall Tales is described as a cryptic, genre-blurring journey-echoing the golden era of Warp Records and the digital unease of ‘OK Computer’, likened to a haunted …
2015 release ** Featuring: Zuriñe F Gerenabarrena, Alberto Prezzati, Alice Calm, Yuka Nagamatsu, Martina Claussen, Livia Giovaninetti, Sergey Suhovik, Yang Siyu."To use the terminology of the neuroscientist Steven Brown, who has made a particular study of music, both music and language involve a limited repertoire of discrete building blocks, organised into phrases and higher-order structures using combinatorial rules. Put simply, both organise individual acoustic elements using a kind of gramma…
2007 release ** Limited edition of 100 hand-numbered copies in special cardboard sleeve. Christian Galarreta: In his sound-based works uses broken electrical appliances, hand-made audiovisual instruments, field streamings and -recordings, feedback systems, the induction of errors in the software-hardware, and musical instruments. 2007 release ** Limited edition of 250 hand-numbered copies. "The Infant Cycle is a project of the Canadian artist Jim DeJong working under this name since 1992. It may seem surprising, but all these 15 years he remained in the underground of experimental music, and his name is well-known only to inveterate enthusiasts and explorers of this strange phenomenon. The project has put out 6 full-length albums on cassettes and CD-Rs, several singles and an amazing series of minions called "Clear Shape…
2005 release ** Limited edition of 100 copies. Oversized cardboard sleeve. "The Echoes Of Thiiings is a work that is made up of compositions that span a very long period of time that reaches up to 2001, but the album is as homogeneous as ever. Suspended in mid-air on a faint borderline between the Autechrian glaciers of Amber and the Central European minimalism of Kompakt (Kaito, Ferenc, Closer Musik, etc.), the compositions of Sparkle In Grey float in a diaphanous, light melodism that moves ser…
2025 stock Running Back welcomes Andreas Grosser for the start of it's non-dancefloor series "Running Back Incantations". Think Tornado Wallace's "Lonely Planet" or Suzanne Kraft's "Missum" who both would have been good and early contenders for a series like that, and you are half way there. Andres Grosser though, was "there" and that way before. Probably best-known for his 1987 collaboration "Babel" with Klaus Schulze, Grosser is a bit of a dark horse in the universe whose big bang was krautro…
2011 release ** "French soprano saxophonist Michel Doneda and Swiss accordionist Jonas Kocher are joined by Slovenians Tomaz Grom (double bass) and Tao G Vrhovec Sambolec (laptop) in four tight, tense improvisations recorded at the (DA)(NE)S Festival in Maribor. Kocher's squeezebox and Doneda's squeaks work together with near telepathic precision, while Grom's growls and Sambolec's grainy drizzle add depth and drama. Filling up what would otherwise be a rather short album, Giuseppe Ielasi's remi…
A Principino whose body dissolves and recomposes perpetually, leads us inside an ancestral tunnel, layered like a bazaar, for just 21 minutes. At the stroke of the 18th minute the light goes off and comes on intermittently marked by the rhythm of Bingo Bongo. From the darkness crawls an ignoble spirit with stocky features with a guttural voice leads us astray to the gates of the gulf. The air suddenly becomes warm, the current dilates. The internal whistle of the bowels resounds from the deepest…

2006 release ** "Un'estate senza piogga is a charming, poetical and intuitive electronic rock album released by Matteo Uggeri with a few guest musicians and friends such as Andrea Marutti or Giuseppe Verticchio. The poetical operation explores memory traces and micro-events of the past that find a serene peace in the interior-nostalgic experiences of the self. The concrete-natural noisy sequences taken from the "cinema" of everyday life is manipulated by the imagination to create a sort of visio…
2002 release ** "The Belgian group Hybryds is one of the most unusual phenomena on the underground music scene. They have been around since the late 80s and combine the powerful primordial energy of prehistoric times with the post-industrial aesthetics of modern times. This is a dark ritual music performed mainly on acoustic and homemade instruments (gasoline drums, wooden armature, other various percussion, voice, field recordings made in different parts of the world) with limited use of synthe…
2011 release ** Limited edition of 150 copies. ""A Score for Iron Blues" is already the eighth full-length album of the project Hypnoz - a brainchild of Dmitry Zuboff (Zuboff Sex Shop, Circle Of Iron Tape, BRZB) coming from Moscow region. This music will primarily appeal to the fans of old school industrial - the raw and moderately rough sound of the album is based on the use of overdriven and otherwise processed bass guitar and voice samples. With the help of these simple means comrade Zuboff m…

*200 copies limited edition* Continuing the luminous path forged by his previous CD, “The Visions of a Dream Traveller”, Like the Snow returns to paint vast cinematic soundscapes that breathe with emotional depth, shifting seamlessly between disruptive, majestic crescendos with thunderous orchestral impact and more introspective passages of nocturnal intimacy. These darker, at times brooding atmospheres are delicately pierced by fleeting luminescent textures, gradually dissolving into serene amb…
*200 copies limited edition* "Ever Expanding" unfolds like a fissure in the continuity of the real. Each sonic fragment carries the memory of an archaic gesture, while also heralding a form yet to come. Nothing asserts itself, yet everything emerges with the gentle force of an apparition—unstable configurations that breathe in the space between the familiar and the elusive. The pieces overlap without collision: each remains distinct, yet surfaces within a shared field. What arises is a multiplic…
*200 copies limited edition* "I Know Your Voice, but It’s Hard to Find in the Crowd" is a concept album centered on the use of the voice. What shape does the voice take when conveying an emotion? The compositions in this work are made up almost exclusively of voices—an extensive spectrum of voices that sing, speak, whisper, processed through Auto-Tune, or emerge from WhatsApp messages, VSTs, analog and digital keyboards from the ’80s and ’90s, field recordings, and samples from films, TV, and Yo…
*200 copies limited edition* In its apparent bare simplicity, “Fade, Remain” is Iluiteq's most uncompromising and intimate album to date. Delving into the universal human condition of experiencing a loss and coping with a new phase of life, Iluiteq have released a new collaborative album, co-written with renowned Italian producer and musician Eraldo Bernocchi. The album juxtaposes the condition of “fading”, meant as leaving or departing, with the notion of “remaining”, either physically or spiri…
*100 coipes limited edition* Among the many kind remarks and deeply personal stories that have been shared with zakè and 36 about their beloved series, Stasis Sounds For Long-Distance Space Travel, perhaps the most succinct and poignant is one from a fan, regarding the first installment: “I was terrified of space travel, until I heard this album.” In those few words, the complex themes and contrasts that the artists explore through their comforting hymns of cosmic scale are summed up beautifully…
"It was my first time performing at Chitei. The venue has a dark, almost secret-hideout-like atmosphere, with a sense of decay that resonated deeply with my emotional state at the time. The speakers were quite large relative to the space, so the sound would circulate and create feedback that doesn’t happen in other venues. By moving the microphone through the space and changing its position, the pitch and harmonics of the feedback would shift. Very few venues offer this kind of experience.
To me…
