En D’autres Lieux
*50 copies limited edition* Somewhere at the edge of Waziers, Bruno Duplant listens deeply. His recordings collect the soft turbulence of vacant parcels of land, the drift of wires that hum, the weathering of surfaces that remember more than they reveal. In these materials he finds the beginnings of new fictions. Not narrative fictions, but the kind that arise when memory, chance, and close attention begin to overlap. Duplant describes himself as a discreet witness. The act of recording is not e…
Hallways
*50 copies limited edition* Hello Spiral returns to the same North London block, the same triangulated geometry of balconies and courtyard, but with a shift of orientation. His previous record looked outward from the eighth floor, these four new recordings move inside, into the building’s arteries. Joe explores the hallways of the complex where he has lived and listened for years, using the same tool as before, an iPhone and its voice memo app. The recordings were made in situ, each exactly elev…
Time Images
Katharina Schmidt is a percussionist, composer, researcher and radio host. A frequent collaborator, her artistic portfolio includes film music, sound art installations, and radio pieces as well as multichannel compositions. After years of playing drums and piano in various bands, her solo work is influenced by indie, experimental, and improvised music. The pieces experiment with emergent harmonies, rhythms created by interferences between sine waves, and textures abstracted from field recordings…
Santur & Kamancheh for Electronics
In this collaboration, Maryam Rahmani and David Esser investigate the sonic and expressive potential of the Santur and Kamancheh beyond the frameworks that traditionally define them. Both instruments, central to the language of Iranian classical music, are repositioned within a new constellation where inherited structures meet contemporary sound practices. Tradition and modernity are not treated as opposing forces but as interwoven layers within a shared field of resonance, a dynamic that rarely…
Is This The Land I Wish Death To Find Me
»Is This The Land I Wish Death To Find Me« was recorded on June 26, 2024 at the Tank Center for Sonic Arts in Rangely, Colorado. The recording is based on a slowly shifting set of ascending just minor thirds: 6:5, 7:6, and 13:11. Magnetic geophones were attached directly to the Tank’s steel exterior, allowing the performance to be captured through the physical resonance of the structure itself. Only a minimal amount of the microphones inside the building were mixed in for clarity. The work draws…
A Fine Rain Anoints The Canal Machinery
*50 copies limited edition* "Enough sun finally came up on the Wyoming prairie that I could relax my fears. I shut off the studio lights and watched a dune of snow reveal itself under the squat, black graphs of denuded trees. I drank old coffee. In a rare interview, Wendell Berry defended a concept of community as being a collection of all the living things that surround you. The farmer-poet was careful to clarify that this community wasn’t simply made up of those like you but must also include …
Unlearning Noise
Unlearning noise by Eventless Plot presents two long-form compositions built on minimalism, analog electronics, and ambient fieldwork, inviting listeners to reconsider the expressive dimensions of noise within experimental sound art.
Chitin
*50 copies limited edition* »Chitin« captures Berlin-based duo Narval (Peter Strickmann and Evgenija Wassilew) in a series of recordings made during a 2025 residency in the village of Schöppingen, Münsterland. Known for their use of everyday objects, self-built wind and percussion instruments, feedback systems, and small-scale electronics, Narval treat the performance space itself as a collaborator. In Schöppingen, this meant farmhouses, a parish church, a sculptor’s studio, and surrounding corn…
Downriver
*50 copies limited edition* »Downriver« unfolds like a dérive through obscured geographies, echoing the psychogeographic journeys of Iain Sinclair. Just as Sinclair’s writing blurs the tangible and the imagined, Sequences, the project of Antwerp-based artist Niels Geybels, drifts into spaces where memory and environment overlap. Single-take recordings stretch into slowly mutating drones, fractured textures, and ghostlike voices that seem to seep in from unseen thresholds. The atmosphere is one o…
Roto
*50 copies limited edition* With »Roto«, Derek Piotr revisits the aqueous terrain first explored in his 2016 album »Drono«, where the paradox of water’s stillness and perpetual motion was refracted into looping voices and glitching textures. Conceived as a »spiritual successor« and recorded in 2019, the album has lain dormant for six years before surfacing on Discreet Archive. That stretch of silence seems to have deepened its charge – the sound feels unearthed rather than made, like a whirlpool…
