It's pitch black, freezing cold and the water pressure is unbearable: we are in the depths of the sea, where sunlight no longer penetrates. The deep ocean remain full of mysteries for man: dark places where only partially known creatures live.

The series that Doom Catacomb has dedicated to the most inhospitable places on planet Earth continues: after the perennial ice of "Polar" and the boiling deserts of "Arid" it is now the turn of the ocean depths. "Abyss" is an inexorable and exciting descent into the depths of the ocean, a unique album that, also thanks to the enclosed booklet, accompanies the listener in an all-encompassing experience.

As in the previous albums of this trilogy, the music of Doom Catacomb collects the best of dungeon-synth, Berlin-School and dark ambient synthesizing it in a majestic and disturbing formula, made of threatening boleros and solemn compositions.
