Accadde A… was first published in 1979 on Edizioni Leonardi's Squirrel Records label, credited to Arawak, one of the pseudonyms of Benito Simoncini. Like most library records it was pressed in tiny numbers for broadcasters and production houses, and over the years it has become one of the rarest and most sought-after titles in Italian synchronization music.

Almost every one of the twelve instrumentals is named after a place where something happened: Harlem, Cuzco, Bali, Bahia, Belfast, Las Vegas, Biafra, New York, Lima, Athens, Boston. The music is mostly jazz-funk, moving between relaxed, atmospheric pieces built on acoustic guitar arpeggios and fast cuts with the flute up front over tight drum breaks, straight out of an Italian detective film of the 70s. Accadde a Bali in particular has been sampled by numerous hip hop producers.

Laid-back grooves and dreamy passages alternate with harder funk, in the same territory as Janko Nilovic, Stefano Torossi and Remigio Ducros. This is the first reissue ever, by Redi Edizioni, in a sleeve faithful in every detail to the original.
