Like many of my generation, grew up in an age where the Internet did not exist and there were few sources of information, especially those inherent to the new music, I discovered Lino through his participation in one of the most daring musical pro- jects, the magnificents Aktuala, new band that released three great albums in the early ‘70s, full of innate grace, where Walter Maioli, Lino Vaccina and their cronies tended mystical and astral plots about warps of music and sounds extracted from the memory of time: again argonauts who stubbornly learned, in a far more concious time to new and creative, dying of spices and aromas of our Mediterranean land, with some antique resin from shared dawnings, the insights that only a few months earlier, at the same time, began to move in the fertile England, and were carried out by the Third Ear Band.
Lino and his percussions have been able to bridge the sidereal unprecedented creativity in different musical inspirations, put- ting rhythm, the primordial pulse, at antroposophics service of klang, the foné, with the humility of the greatest.
From La Monte Young himself to the great mystics Su  musicians who enchanted minimalists, Pandit Pran Nath and then Terry Riley, the insights of Glen Sweeney and his Third’s Ear Band, to the syncretic inspirations with Juri Camisasca, Franco Battiato, Paolo Tofani, without forgetting the captive essences that, from Edgar Varése to György Ligeti through Aus Der Sieben Tagen by Stockhausen, had eternally “contaminated” semantics of music.
After the experience of Aktuala, in which we invite our readers who have not already done to sink into the evergreen depths, Lino Vaccina publics in 1976 a seminal album, Antico Adagio, recently removed from the clutches of the vultures of rare disk from Die Schachtel and also available in vinyl, assisted from Frammenti from Antico Adagio, wonderful album containing lost gems from those sessions. A few years after, another un- missable gem waiting for future reprints.
A desperate trying to make with words the iridescent music by Lino, specifically, we want to emphasize the importance of the work of Vaccina in the international new music.
Back to the studio after the incredible success of the reprint of “Antico Adagio”, Lino wanted to continue on the path laid out in hi historical album: compositions, intuitions, emotions that were maturing for years, resting as the like of a good Borgogna wine, now ready to be shared with a wider audience. Also for thios new work, to his per- cussion, gong, tablas, bells, vibraphone, cymbals, dishes and strange instruments natives Lino did not want to apply any “trick”. All the sounds you’ll hear in this extraordinary journey are strictly acous- tic, no any kind of electronics are involved. Playing with tape delays, co-adjuvanted by a sound engineer visionary as Alberto Callegari, located at Elfo studios . a wonderful state of teh art place admist the woods in the country of Piacenza, Max Marchini has produced this album with pure analog intents. Lino wanted around him three companions extraordinary as Paolo Tofani, legendary composer and guitarist of italian Prog/avatgarde band Area at the Mandhura for a breathtaking duet in “Dialoghi tra suoni (Dialogues between sounds,)” Camillo Mozzoni that with oboe, oboe d’amore and Eng- lish horn wove arabesques of arcane memory in “Archaic Armonico” and the old mate Juri Camisasca who stretched layers of voices in the enchanted “Ancrestrale Andante (Andante ancestral)”.
Aeons away from any New Age suggestions, the music of Lino Capra Vaccina, in constant evolution, discovers pages submerged by ancient memories shared. The throb of skins beatings brings scents of the time; together with the voice, that as well remembered by Joan La Barbara, it is the original instrument.
An album that marks a new stage in the new music. A disc where the sound is at the center, as the Klang contrapposes to Foné, in an emo- tional universe of incomparable beauty that takes the listener to a dif- ferent perception of time and space.
A true masterpiece that is about to became a very sought after item, this  rst limited edition of individually numbered and hand bounded cardboads Cds and LPs. A precious work of Art
